Maaaaaan I love the #7daysofVGM—an event by the Video Game Music Academy challenging you to write a piece of music every day for seven days. I wedged it into my life for the second time, and I’m once again proud of the results and grateful for the chance to excercise those muscles.
During my first #7daysofVGM, I treated each piece as if it were for a different game. This time around, I wanted them all to be made for the same game, cut from the same cloth. And the goal was to have them follow a natural progression. The theme was “giant robots” and the daily prompts themselves had a nice natural arc to them, so I felt inspired and went for it.
