If you even made it this far, chances are you’re a friend, a colleague, and/or a music lover. So hopefully you won’t mind me saying…

I could really use your help!

I’m launching a micro-indie record label. Originally it was just going to be for releasing my own work, but already some friends are signed on to do this with me. (Awesome!)

Badself Media will have a few different sub-labels or imprints, the first of which is Badself Records. Badself Records will focus on great new pop and rock, and has already released a few tunes by a rock band I love called Red Light Go. But soon enough there will be an imprint for game, film, and TV soundtracks, and one for modern classical music.

I’ll post again later to talk a little bit about why I’m doing this. Please reach out if you want to chat about the purpose and the philosophy of it. But for now I’ll get right to the ask. Here are the best ways you can help me, help some independent artists, and help the idea of independent music in general. The list starts with the most effective and impactful things, so if you can only do one thing, (already wonderful and a huge help!)—please just pick from the top of the list.

• Follow @badselfmusic on Instagram and like/share/comment on things whenever you can.

• Follow @redlightgoband on Instagram and like/share/comment on things as much as possible.

• Follow Red Light Go on Spotify, like songs, add to your playlists, and do some listening!

• Follow Badself Records on Spotify, like any of the non-Distrokid playlists you find there, and listen to Red Light Go!

• Follow @badselfmedia on Twitter and like/retweet/reply whenever you can.

• Follow Red Light Go on iTunes/Apple Music, and buy a song or two if you like them:

• Follow Red Light Go on Bandcamp, and buy a song or two if you like them:

• Follow/like Badself Media on Facebook and like/share/comment as often as you can.

• Follow Red Light Go on any and all music platforms you like—Tidal, Amazon, Pandora, Deezer, Apple Music, or YouTube Music—and then add “Reflected” and “Hands of Time” to playlists and/or do some listening!

• Do anything else you feel would help—post, blog, tell a friend, whatever!

Thank you for every little thing you choose to do.
