April has been nuts at The Cleveland Show. Kanye West and will.i.am were both in for a table read. I recorded will.i.am (for his recurring role as Rallo’s friend Bernard) and then hung out in the control room with him, our producers, and a few other colleagues for about an hour. Fergie was in and as entertaining as ever—for those of you who didn’t know she’s actually a very good voice actor. I recorded both dialogue and singing. Out. Of. Control. Love it.
I may have only found this because of googling “Darren Criss + voice actor” after finding out he did work on Archer. I think he’s charming – what can you say about working with him? Also have you seen any of his YouTube musicals or his work on glee?
I knew he was on Glee but don’t watch the show. I haven’t heard about his YouTube musicals but I’ll go take a peek.
He was very easy to talk to, down-to-earth, and humble—even self-deprecating. He was a pro in the booth, and I think you’ll like his performance on The Cleveland Show. He’s on an episode with Stacy Ferguson (Fergie of the Black-Eyed Peas) that’ll air in about 9-10 months, I think. Set your TiVo… =)
