Play another awesome video game made in 3 days
I was audio lead on the Sleepy Donut team for another Ludum Dare game jam. A 3rd place in audio out of almost 2,000 submissions? We’ll take it!

I have now contributed to a chart-topping album. (Cue my expression of dumbfounded shock.) I supervised the creation of the skits on R&B singer Brent Faiyaz’s album Wasteland.
As a matter of fact, you can play thousands of them. But I was hoping you’d play mine. Our little team of seven game developers made Asterisk for the 72-hour...
I just thought I’d share that I’m in the process of finding a publisher for what will be my very first piece of published music. It’s a set of three little piano pieces called Three Piano Miniatures inspired by birds. The total playing time is about 3 to 3 1/2 minutes and you can hear them on my Composing and Scoring page.
Anyone have any insight into the publication process, or any ideas how best to go about this? I’m waiting to hear from the first publisher now—if I find success, or a whole lot of failures, I’ll post an update.
Earlier this year I had the pleasure of recording ADR for a really funny short film by many-talented director/writer/musician J Lee. Naked Eye is one long, well-told R-rated (or NC-17-rated?) joke that just knocked me out of my chair. And it stars Nelsan Ellis of HBO’s True Blood. Recording him and the rest of the cast for ADR was a treat. Visit my newly updated Sound For Picture page.
I recently started a not-for-profit organization called The Lamp Project, dedicated to spotlighting and supporting socially engaged artists and the causes they champion. I wore multiple hats, including ADR mixer, writer and executive producer, for the creation of some promotional videos. I hope you’ll go take a look—the first one is live on the site right now. And if being a part of an organization with a powerful mission and lots of passionate, creative people interests you, please email me: jeremy.olsen@thelampproject.net.
Thanks for for all the support from everyone!
I have finally gotten around to sharing some of the modular score elements I wrote for David Kronmiller’s webseries, and Boris. There is a lot of music in here that I didn’t write, and I had no part in any editing or mixing of music or sound. I just wrote some fun percussion cues, part acoustic and part synthesized, for David to use in his work wherever and however he chooses.
What began as mixing one track for fun was so fun and such a success, it has turned into mixing an entire EP. The band is Los Angeles rock Do...
I’m at work on something very interesting—at least to me, a percussionist and composer who works in TV: I’m composing a percussion-only score for a webseries. But… • It’s probably...
